Ads Manager Evolves: Easier to use and built for you

Streamers have told us that they want more control over their channel’s ad experience, and a tool that is simple to use and just works. Our goal is to make running ads as seamless of an experience as possible because we know that streamers already have a lot to think about.

Last year, we launched new features and experiments like Automatic Ad Length & Frequency, Chat Countdown Timer, and Auto Snooze in an effort to continuously improve your ad running experience. These were designed to help you do even less work when running ads: like choosing the right ad settings to help you earn more, helping you and your mods know when an ad break is about to run, as well as automatically delaying ads during Hype Trains. This year, we wanted to revisit the way you engage with all of these features and Ads Manager as a whole.

I’m excited to announce we’re introducing updates to the Ads Manager experience.

We’ve created a new ad density slider to make it even easier to understand exactly how many ad minutes you’ll be running, what revenue share you’ll be unlocking, and if your choice disables pre-roll ads for incoming viewers. Partners: based on your selection, you’ll also now see the revenue estimates that used to be part of Ads Incentive Program, in Ads Manager - these will update monthly based on how you’ve run ads in the past.

Both Partners and Affiliates can automatically earn 55% net ad revenue by running at least 3 ad minutes per hour, no need to take extra steps via the Ads Incentive Program (AIP).

We want to make finding the features you need easier, so we’ve reorganized where you can find them as well as added new explanations for each. Automatic Ad Length and Frequency is now right below the ad density slider: it’ll clearly explain the advantages of turning on the feature and what it thinks would be the best ad setting for your channel. Features like Chat Countdown Timer and Auto Snooze are neatly grouped together under Advanced Settings: ensuring that those of you who want more control, have all you need to make ads fit efficiently to your content.

In the future, we want to provide even more relevant insights to help you make more informed decisions on running ads, such as the seasonality of the ads industry and ad running behavior of streamers similar to you.
